Description: Job Title: Principal, Engineering Services Job Code: SAS20231502-97123 Job Location: Sterling, VA Engineer with at least 14 years of experience in Integrated Product Support (IPS) element support of DoD programs. These tasks may include developing and/or providing oversight on leading logistics tasks and projects, proposal writing and ROM production, life-cycle sustainment functions to include depot/supply support operations, system design interface/influence as well as facilities management and IT Services Support structures. Manages the planning and execution of IPS projects and activities. Interfaces and oversees product support and logistic activities performed by partners or subcontractors. Responsible for specialized tasks in the following engineering disciplines: Depot/sustainment, Packing, Handling, Shipping and Transportation (PHS&T) management. Job Description: Works under consultative direction against programmatic and/or department goals and objectives. Provide supporting programs with a full range services to maximize operational life and mission continuity through cost-efficient analysis and management of end-of-life parts and parts life extension program Lead and conduct asset visibility, and obsolescence mitigation for program system sustainment material Manage a secure facility that focuses on operations with support equipment and security measures in place to reduce cost to the customer and enable the program to operate efficiently Interface daily with program manager, system engineers, system integrators, and technical trainers Provides accurate proposal basis of estimates (BOEs) and random orders of measure (ROMs) on prospective programs and projects Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are often complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple functions and/or businesses. Extensive analysis of product support/life-cycle problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem. Manage assets and request calibration/repair services Develop a strategy for tracking program assets and spare parts often integrated to maximize efficiency Performed asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property Identify, plan, resource, and acquire packaging/preservation, handling, storage and transportation (PHST) requirements to maximize availability and usability of the materiel to include support items whenever they are needed for training or mission Monitor and track the shipment of repairable products needing maintenance to and from customer sites, the depot, and possibly OEMs Monitor and track the movement of supplies from the stock rooms to operational support in the field Essential Functions: Works with engineering teams to evaluate and implement process improvements

Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment

Conducts training activities with junior engineers and department personnel

Provides Knowledge Transfer activities as directed to ensure department has well-rounded skill set employment

Qualifications:

TS/SCI clearance

Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Master’s degree with concentration in engineering subjects

Bachelor’s degree with concentration in engineering subjects or 14 years of experience in Integrated Product Support (IPS) tasks .

PMP Certification

Supply Chain/Logistics Certifications

Experience with Microsoft Office and computer proficient

Experience with EVMS and PLM tools
