National Integration Services is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect, Integration Services to lead the design and implementation of Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) integration capabilities. With a focus on FedNow, and broadening as the FRFS organization evolves, the selected candidate with help guide the future of integration in the financial services space. In this role, the selected candidate will interact with System and product team architects across business lines and technologies to develop cutting edge designs for mission critical, highly secure/resilient payments and financial services systems. Once selected, this leader will engage deeply in the FedNow program and ecosystem particularly in the messaging space.

About the Opportunity:

National Integration Services is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect, Integration Services to lead the design and implementation of Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) integration capabilities. With a focus on FedNow, and broadening as the FRFS organization evolves, the selected candidate with help guide the future of integration in the financial services space. In this role, the selected candidate will interact with System and product team architects across business lines and technologies to develop cutting edge designs for mission critical, highly secure/resilient payments and financial services systems. Once selected, this leader will engage deeply in the FedNow program and ecosystem particularly in the messaging space.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead Financial Services integration architecture programs for ITS including the FedNow program integration architecture; determine identification of appropriate technology frameworks and architectural solutions to meet FRFS strategies
  • Lead the maturation of the FedNow integration architecture program up to and beyond initial launch while exploring the constantly shifting technology landscape, designing process improvements to reduce technical debt, and building high-quality, well-architected solutions
  • Lead business-technology collaboration to identify business needs, bridge them with technology capabilities, and guide service providers to implement solutions
  • Recommend new technologies and integration platform designs that address business strategy while working within FRS and local IT policies and guidelines
  • Review and recommend innovative improvements to existing integration platform architectures and new opportunities/technologies
  • Drive FRFS integration platform design provided by National Integration Services with an emphasis on mission-critical, highly secure/resilient payments and financial services systems.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot architecture-related issues in a timely manner
  • C ontribute to the development and implementation of key Group and Reserve Bank strategic initiatives and priorities, Group policies and procedures and support Critical Initiative priorities and work streams important to developing and advancing the organization's mission and business objectives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 15+ years of experience with extensive technical breadth in positions of increasing responsibility in the IT industry
  • Exemplifies both deep and broad technical experience with enterprise hybrid cloud/on premises integration platforms including messaging, file transfer, orchestration/transformation, API ecosystem, event driven integration and streaming including crafting and implementing strategy, development, and resiliency of the enterprise integration platform products
  • Represent National Integration Services with business and senior FRFS leadership in developing strategies for integration solutions
  • Provide thought leadership to National Integration Services and FRFS architects in their respective integration domains
  • Champion agile best practices, "automate everything" and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Desired Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the hybrid cloud integration domain including IBM MQ, AWS Transfer Family, Mulesoft and AWS API gateways
  • Proven ability to navigate complex matrixed technology organizations to build consensus and buy in for technical strategies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud concepts and SaaS offerings
  • Validated thought leader that values and promotes inclusion and diversity, by developing engineering teams by providing candid feedback with a focus on technical skills development, cloud/integration architecture and innovation
  • AWS cloud architect certification
