About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a

Print Smart and Multi-Function Device (MFD) Support Specialist to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area . This candidate will be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of MFD's which includes programing and changing customer assign IP address and DNS setup, troubleshooting customer print issues when printing to the MFD's, and knowledge of workflow scanning template setup for MFD's.
  • Resolve printer technical issues onsite and/or remote diagnostics, updating printer admin passwords and providing move, add, and delete (MACD) services as requested.
  • Develop templates and approval workflows (moves, adds, changes, or deletes) for MFD's. Also develop templates for break-fix, new drivers, and firmware upgrades.
  • Escalate MFD's for vendor resolution if onsite break-fix has not resolved the issue. Vendor support, collaboration, and coordination.
  • Support ShareScan vs. AutoStore, install and/or decommission network printers, install MFD certificates, and update service catalogs. Includes Print Smart support for AutoStore and configuration of the Remote Deployment Tool (RDT) to include Remote Deployment Editor, OpenAPI Application Manager, and WebDAV implementation.
  • MFD maintenance and troubleshooting, documentation development, and certificate renewal.
  • Token Vault support (registration and troubleshooting). Remediation of device misconfigurations, authentication failures, and device certificate maintenance.
  • Experience with Konica/Minolta MFD's (ex. C300i, C558, C658, C759, AccurioPress C3080 and 6120 ), and also with Hewlett Packard Printers (ex. DesignJet T1700dr, LaserJet M608dn).
  • Maintain constant flow of communication to all sites, management, and customers.
  • Ability to work in a distributed and cross functional team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or Engineering or a minimum five year's equivalent work experience in a fast-paced Service Desk environment .

Desired Skills:

  • ServiceNow System Administration Certification and ITIL Certification is preferred.
  • Experience performing quality assurance responsibilities in support of ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of the ServiceNow Application Suite covering ITSM, ITOM and ITBM areas.
  • Experience initiating continuous process improvement by analyzing performance reports to identify trends and patterns that may interfere with achieving goals.
