Find your future with us.Boeing Research & Technology is looking for a Product Security Engineer (Entry-Level, Associate, or Mid-Level) to focus on Cyber & Network Technology Research based out of Arlington, VA or Hazelwood, MO .This position is for a Cyber Security & Network Technology researcher who will join the Product Security Organization within Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T). This position will focus on the development of new technologies, involve leading and supporting research projects to develop new concepts, and build prototypes to demonstrate the feasibility of the technologies. This position will be focused on achieving successful technology transitions from the research environment to Boeing programs as well as to external customers.Position Responsibilities:
Assists with implementation and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.
Assists with the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.
Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support.
Assists with the identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing products and services.
Assists with coordinating activities with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.
Assists with basic research and development activities. Assists with the advisement of customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience programming with C, C, Python and/or shell scripts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with research projects to develop new concepts and innovative approaches
Expertise and interest in detecting cyber anomalies and attributing their impact to mission critical functionality in an effort to improve the Cyber Security posture of platforms
Proficiency with AI/ML algorithms, techniques, frameworks, and libraries (such as TensorFlow, numpy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TorchScript)
Experience interfacing with customers
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality implementation, testing, and documentation of results
Experience working with leadership, peers, and internal and external customers to understand and drive requirements
Comfort working in a dynamic team environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated, positive, a continuous learner, and enjoy research-oriented projects
