Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or Apprentice School graduate and 6 years related exempt level experience; Or Master’s Degree and 4 year related exempt experience. High School and 5 years of related trade experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School could be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred QualificationsPreferred skills include an extensive understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards associated with the research and development of electronic training products. Prior inspection experience and/or knowledge of inspection methods is preferred.• Working knowledge of NNS key programs.• General knowledge of quality inspection practices, and requirements.• Able to interpret and understand drawings/methods/procedures.• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings.• Ability and skill to build metrics to measure performances.• Able to demonstrate the skills and abilities to perform complex professional tasks,• Ability to work a flexible schedule• Proficient in MS Office products, as well as other NNS software applications• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Able to access tight or confined spaces• Perform crawling, bending, stooping, and squatting as needed
