The Production Services Specialist The individual in this role will provide front line support to end users responding to issues related to Incidents and Problem Management Governance for multiple applications, with the primary focus of triage leadership on all business impacting incidents. Responsibilities of this role include understanding and ensuring compliance with the Incident Management and Problem Management policies and procedures. This role is the key focal point for the customer/client /associate experience and owns restoring complex/major production incidents under tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and pursues root cause and problem resolution follow up.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mainframe systems programming role or production support role or directly in related business operations for the core application
  • Subject Matter Expert in transaction exchange services for deposit, loan, card and general ledger applications
  • Strong knowledge and experience with IBM Mainframe and related technologies
  • Extensive understanding of banking business knowledge in deposits, payments, credit cards, loans, general ledger as well as fraud prevention, interests/floats and financial services industry standards X9 etc.
  • Strong experiences in data collection, transformation and distribution involving mainframe with various technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding the processing flows in interbank transfers and settlements such as ACH and Wire transfers etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experiences in distributed systems in data processing is a plus

Desired Skills

  • Troubleshooting and triaging skills to identify and analyze issues
  • Be able to communicate and summarize the issue impacts, causes and resolutions.
  • Understanding banking transaction settlement and posting processes
  • Be able to use mainframe environment to perform production support related activities
