AECOM is seeking a Program Manager - Non-Federal and Health Science Markets, to be based in Roanoke, VA.The Program Manager will be responsible for overall contract performance to include the safety and well-being of employees, financial management, project and quality management and generally represents the company with respect to the customer for our Non-Federal and Health Science Markets. The Program Manager works to ensure projects and sub-programs are organized and executed in a consistent manner and fulfil customer requirement.Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesPerforms various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for specific markets.Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.Plans and develops tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.Acts as the primary liaison between internal/external project partners, ensuring effective communication, development, coordination and implementation of action plans.Collaborates with Project Managers who will execute specific projects on assigned program.Work with Legal, Risk and other functional groups to move project opportunities to contract.Lead negotiations of contract terms with customerRecruit and supervise project managers or other key personnelIndependently guide and resolve technical matters on project with ability to consult with Technical Leadership on complex building code issues, while providing expertise in Healthcare or large campus program/project management.Operates with minimal supervision, receiving primarily administrative guidance, with assignments framed in broad general objectives and limits, showcasing a leadership role with significant autonomy.Flexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.
