Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Analyst in the bustling city of Chesapeake, Virginia. This role is within the financial services and project management industry, where the selected candidate will be instrumental in overseeing project revenues and expenditures, performing project monitoring, managing financial services for designated projects, and serving as a liaison between project managers and corporate departments.Responsibilities:
Supervise project finances, ensuring that expenditures align with revenue projections and projects stay within budget limits.
Continuously review projects, gathering financial data to determine if they are adhering to budgetary expectations.
Manage modifications and propose preventive measures to address potential issues in assigned projects.
Handle financial oversight for specific projects, including conducting audits, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Act as an intermediary between project managers and corporate departments, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Conduct variance analysis and produce both written and verbal reports on cost schedule discrepancies for management.
Contribute to new business proposals by offering support, insights, and detailed cost estimates to management.
Utilize accounting platforms such as Costpoint and UNANET to oversee project financials.
Create Agile-based cost and schedule forecasts while tracking project performance.
Perform critical path analyses, tool processing, and report generation.
Oversee financial reporting for Cost Plus contracts, particularly those with multiple task orders.
Monitor and evaluate resource utilization to ensure optimal efficiency.
Maintain precision and meticulousness in all aspects of managing project finances.

Proficiency in Costpoint and Unanet preferred Experience with Accounting Software Systems is crucial. Familiarity with Accounting Functions is desired. Knowledge of Annual Budget preparation and management is necessary. Proficiency in Auditing and Budget Processes is required Skills in Cost Analysis are essential. Experience in Coding Invoices is required. Ability to handle Customer Invoices, Vendor Invoices, and Supplier Invoices is necessary. Proficiency in Reviewing Invoices and Preparing Invoices is desired. Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting is required. Familiarity with Cash Management is crucial. Applicant must be able to work effectively in a team and independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines is crucial.
