Position Description Epic Owner: Technical Project Manager (PM) - Cab Engineering Interested in an exciting job opportunity in Cab Engineering? We are looking for an Epic Owner: Technical Project Manager (PM) who can develop new vehicle products for Volvo and Mack Heavy Duty Trucks in an agile and SAFe inspired set-up. Therefore, experience from agile way of working is desired. The candidate will follow the agile methodology for the Cab Engineering product streams to integrate new vehicle technologies demanded in the marketplace.

In the product stream there will on-going technical enhancements and product offerings that will need project management. This management will follow a "stage-gate" process and leadership of several product development teams and will be responsible for delivering the product offerings, including key metrics at each gate such as quality, time plans, product/project cost, and vehicle attributes (features). It would be great if candidate has experience from working as a SCRUM Master, Release Train Engineer, or process champion in an agile team setup.

The Cab Engineering North America is the product owner of all Cab projects for the Volvo and Mack truck brands. We develop new and advanced cab solutions for our future trucks while continually adapting our current products to new and different market and customer demands.

Education:Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is requiredMSME or related field is preferredPMP Certification preferred

Experience, Skills, Training: Minimum 5 - 8 years of Project Management experience in Product Development.Demonstrated results as a PM in transportation or mobility industries; Heavy duty truck experience is preferred.Well experienced in mechanical engineering principles and applications.Proven Agile-method experience a plus.

Role Description:Secure project and maintenance deliveries from the area of responsibility in respect to committed QDCF targets.Lead engineering resources to manage projects and maintenance activities.Co-ordinate Design and validation activities between local and global engineering groups.Manage Cab engineering deliveries working closely with the Product Owners.Secure that the products are developed in line with applicable technology strategies. according to stipulated processes, methods, and tools.Monitor the product quality and cost situation for projects and initiate actions in dialogue with the product quality and cost organization.Participate and contribute in applicable project control steering committees.Work directly with the line organization to define deliverables for respective groups and secure annual budget estimates and resources to support the deliveries.Work with Global counterparts in GTT to make sure that projects are properly coordinated.Ensure that clear requirements and deliverables are established for each department according to global development process GDP.Assure compliance with all applicable vehicle regulations.Lead Program Increment activities related to the Agile methodology with a cadence-based approach within the development teams.Identify dependencies and foster cross-functional and cross- agile release train collaboration.
