DescriptionLeidos is seeking a Material / Project Manager to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. This individual will work in a team environment to ensure mission needs are met and ensure functionality of capabilities of customers. We are looking for a collaborative and forward leaning individual who wants to tackle challenges and be a part of creating innovative solutions. This position does not manage staff, it manages materials management processes and receipt/verification of materials.Primary Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project.
Facilitate status review meetings among project team members and clients.
Resolve any problems or discrepancies that may arise with orders
Run periodic spot check reports against material inventory
Coordinate with other contractors and system owners as needed.
Coordinate with multiple technical and operational teams to achieve the necessary program, project or activity plans, and schedules
Follow industry recognized best practices for program management, change management, and configuration control processes to ensure highest quality deliverables and infrastructure performance.
Use configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items and the CM environment.
Serve as an advisor on and ensure change documentation is completed on automation
Lead to operational efficiencies
Examine customer problems, develop and present solutions, and then implements appropriate corrective action to initiate a change.
Ensure that baseline integrity management can be established within the enterprise.
Support the development and adherence to procedures and policies.
Work independently.
Must have the ability to move/lift boxes/packages that could contain items around 50 or more pounds.
Regular local travel within the Washington DC area is required. Candidates should expect to make approximately 3 or more trips per week from work site to Landover, MD.
Education:
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Masters degree with 4 years
Education equivalency of Associate’s with 8 years of related experience or High School Diploma with 10 years of related experience can be used in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
TS/SCI with Poly is required for position or a TS/SCI and willingness to get a Poly.
Pay Range:Pay Range $66,300.00 - $119,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
