Property Maintenance Technician

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with ten years of documented experience in maintenance work including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and groundskeeping. Ideal candidate will possess an "Old School" work ethic who likes to work and is focused, stays on task, takes ownership of his work and is results driven. Fulltime work with benefits if your skills and energy level warrant. VA Driver’s License, work permit, clean driving record, criminal background and drug checks required. We have 39 beautiful facilities in the Fredericksburg area that we maintain to a high standard. The facilities are predominantly single family homes along with several apartments, day programs and small office buildings. Work consists primarily of punch-list work and upgrades. I walk each facility monthly and create a list of deficits that need addressed (frequent plumbing repairs to commercial and residential toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, drain lines, baths, and showers, minor electric, painting, caulking, carpentry, various common household repairs, pressure washing, hang TVs, replace water fountains, adjust doors, replace locksets, detail vehicles, repair fences and decks, clean out rain gutters, downspouts, and dryer vents, troubleshoot and repair or replace appliances, replace AC contactors and capacitors, put together IKEA type furniture, clean out basements and sheds, move furniture, prep bedrooms and apartments for new tenants, perform preventative maintenance, snow shoveling, landscaping tasks, general labor, etc.). Upgrades include new light fixtures, building decks and sheds, framing walls and hanging doors, removing and replacing old carpet and tile, upgrading bathroom fixtures, window blinds, installing appliances, and the like. Must be comfortable working from extension ladders and scaffolding. Must be able to routinely and repetitively lift 75 pounds. This opportunity is challenging, varied, fast paced, and interesting for the right tradesman. Starting pay is $22 per hour. 12 federal holidays. 11 days of paid annual leave the first year.
