Objectives of this Role

  • Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
  • The Software Tester is responsible for testing all aspects of the application suite including functional testing, compatibility testing, regression testing, designing and running test scenarios, ensuring all requirements/user stories have been correctly implemented, assisting with detecting, reporting, and communicating any defects found while testing.
  • Work with various professional services team members including project managers, consultants, and developers to understand the scope of work being delivered and help create a testing strategy. Execute on that testing strategy/plan in various environments with the objective of ensuring what is delivered to the end customer meets the requirement document and is bug free.
  • Validate customer reported issues to determine root cause of the issue. Work with customer to educate on functionality as needed, or work with internal professional services team to share testing results and ensure deployed fixes successfully address the issue.
  • Ensure new applications and software modifications meet requirements and operate satisfactorily in the system environment
  • Write detailed test plans, procedures, and scenarios

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience (2-3 years) as an application tester
  • Knowledge of requirements and bug tracking tool
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well on a team and with external customers
  • Superb computer competence, including database management
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practices
  • Current clearance or ability to achieve a clearance
