Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in our Professional Services industry located at McLean, Virginia. This role will primarily focus on providing excellent customer service by answering inbound calls and inquiries. Responsibilities: Serve as the first point of contact for all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel Welcome visitors by greeting them professionally and courteously, in person or on the telephone Ensure efficient communication by accurately taking and delivering messages Keep a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Support organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Handle multiple lines, transferring calls as necessary Maintain customer trust by keeping client interactions confidential Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers' expectations Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures) Requirements Possess at least one year of experience in a receptionist role or similar position Proven experience with receptionist duties including managing phone calls and customer service Prior experience in a part-time receptionist role beneficial Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a professional and timely manner Demonstrated ability to handle inquiries, providing accurate information to customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency in using office equipment, including printers and fax machines Ability to maintain a neat and organized reception area Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
