DescriptionSAIC is hiring a Regional Affairs Analyst to support the Defense Technology Security Administration (DTSA)/International Engagement Directorate (IED)/Strategy and Policy Division. The desired candidate will have the ability to work in a dynamic government work environment and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team. They will be able to problem-solve in a time-constrained environment and to take initiative and work independently as appropriate. They will also be able to prioritize tasks through strong organizational skills as well as to lead both individuals and teams.This position is located at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.Responsibilities:

Directly supports Director, DTSA/IED for Strategy and Policy in the execution of projects that support the security cooperation and technology release mission on-site in the Mark Center.

Provides professional and analytic deliverables and insights in support of technical, managerial, procedural, and project tasks

Support management of DTSA and DoD implementation of national Conventional Arms Transfer Policy; administering of National Security Council and DoD lines of effort.

·QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters (preferred) and 10-20 years experience in security cooperation and technology release.

Experience coordinating conventional arms transfer policies and technology security release processes with DoD and interagency stakeholders.

Required Skills:

Experience coordinating conventional arms transfer policies and technology security release processes with DoD and interagency stakeholders.

Comfortable soliciting and coordinating stakeholder policy and technical input in order to implement national and Department arms transfer strategy and processes.

Ability to assist in operations of Arms Transfer Technology Release Senior Steering Group efforts as well as general technology release support, which may include drafting of new policies, initiatives and guidance.

Experience supporting DoD technology release community in developing policies and strategic campaign plan(s), and prepare packages for engaging senior Department and interagency decision-makers.

Understanding of security cooperation and technology release programs with partners and allies and knowledge of applying strategic competition lens through which partnerships and alliances are structured.

Demonstrated ability to research, organize, write, and edit staff packages.

Familiarity with DoD organization and the ability to work in a faced paced environment.

Comfortable with communicating clearly with senior officials and senior staff.

Excellent research and analytical skills.

Commitment to exceptional client service and professionalism while working at the client site.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and common office software applications.
