Emergency Room Registrar– PRN Weekend and As Needed Shifts

Schedule:Every other weekend shift with additional availability as needed

We are currently seeking professionals who are enthusiastic, dependable, with a high energy level and an overall desire to help people, onour team!

As a Registrar, you will work in the hospital Emergency Room and ensure the highest quality of care and service is provided to our community. Our team is dedicated to helping others in their time of needand there may be opportunities to work additional shifts based on volume, call outs, or vacation coverage. Minimal rotating and shared Holiday coverage is required. These positions are a great way to get Hospital experience and can lead to full time or part time employment based on performance.

In this role, you will:

• Assist the Triage and Clinical teams byensuring all incoming patients andvisitors are greeted and acknowledged with exceptional and memorable customer service
• Register patients in treatment rooms and at bedside to obtain all necessary demographic and billing information
• Deliver, review, and obtain signatures as applicable for: Consent to Treat, Advanced Directive, Financial Assistance plans, and Patient Rights, etc
• Verify insurance using an electronic application and provide an explanation of coverage with the patient
• Calculate and collect the patient’s applicable amounts due at time of service
• Utilize our mobile workstation on wheels to register patients for the duration of the shift
• Wear our suit like uniforms that are provided to you

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of related or office type experience preferred.
• Requires prolonged sitting/standing for 7-10 hours per shift, along with some bending, pushing, stooping, and walking.
