The Agile Release Train Engineer is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or Solution Train who has a primary responsibility to facilitate ART or Solution events and processes and assist teams in delivering value. About the Opportunity

The Agile Release Train Engineer is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or Solution Train who has a primary responsibility to facilitate ART or Solution events and processes and assist teams in delivering value. They communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. They foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous process flow, and relentless improvement.

What You Will Do:

1) Facilitates value stream mapping and identification of ARTs. Plans, leads, organizes, and motivates ART(s) and Suppliers on a Solution Train of high complexity, organizational importance, and visibility.2)Works with the ARTs on Solution Train in coordinating planning activities and facilitates successful delivery of business value within an agile framework, with the focus on managing interdependencies between multiple trains for complex solution delivery. Serves as an Agile Coach to executives, leadership, and Product Management3)Leads integrated delivery planning for Solution by facilitating and aligning work across multiple ARTs. Leads the development, analysis, tracking, and communication of Solution's agile adoption and progress metrics. Drives continuous improvement at Solution level. 4)Leads creation of ART working agreements. Manages, tracks, and reports on the progress for ART 5) Effectively integrates with other value streams, platform teams and shared services to accomplish Business objectives6)Ensures a successful Solution train alignment by working with Business, Product Management, Solution Engineering and Solution Architecture. Coaches Release Train Engineers on best practices.7) Encourages collaboration between Solution Architect, System Architects and Engineering Leads8) Facilitates pre and post Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions to coordinate and integrate the objectives outcomes of planning on ARTs within the Solution to ensure right priorities are scheduled for delivery.9)Facilitates collaboration sessions on complex/large scale initiatives to formulate creative and practical solutions to application challenges 10) Identifies, manages, and mitigates risks for the Solution. Escalates when necessary to address the blockers.11) Aggregates ARTs PI Objectives into an overall Solution set of objectives to demonstrate alignment of work with broader Product Roadmaps12) Facilitates decision-making regarding priorities and trade-offs by partnering with Portfolio Management, Product Management and Solution Architects13) Captures and understand the work in other Portfolios and Solutions and how it impacts the Solution roadmap, negotiating with other areas to sequence the work.14) Act as a change agent to drive the acceptance and adoption of agile using structured approach.15)Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge: Advanced knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area, especially the ability to coach the ART and/or leadership on Agile practices and adherence to Agile methodology. Knowledgeable in Product Management, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery General knowledge of department/ business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.

Communications: Excellent organizational and communication skills, creativity, attention to detail (compliance), and negotiation skills to interpret results, develop communications and recommend improvements. Able to present information within all settings in a credible, confident and influential manner. Communicates in a concise, direct and purposeful way.

Qualifications:

Agile Practitioner: Demonstrates and applies Agile skills to deliver outcome focused solutions. Demonstrates Agile values through iterative and incremental design, build and delivery solutions. Coach others on development and application of Agile principles and practices

Servant Leadership: Embodies a commitment to support the growth and development of others. • Coaching: Actualizes potential - in context directed at team• Facilitating: builds consensus - in context directed at team• Mentoring: Conveys Wisdom - Out of context and usually one on ones with Product managers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on the train.

Risk Management: Responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her function's risk management.

Bachelor's/Masters Degree or equivalent experience as a Sr Release Train Engineer with 7+ years Agile methodology experience in a large enterprise environment.Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP and/or other related certifications required. SAFe 5 Program Consultant (SPC) in good standing required.

Experienced in Change Management (Certifications a plus)
