Businesses, educational institutions, governments and non-profits depend on AWS for secure cloud services and solutions.This position will be responsible for the administration and tactical support of sales compensation plans and business analysis of the sales compensation program and processes for the World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) sales organization. As a sales compensation analyst, the role drive sales compensation operational excellence, administration of key sales compensation data, and sales compensation programs for the organization that address our business governance, performance management as well as guiding the organization to prepare for senior reviews. The role will also provide analytical support focused on understanding sales compensation programs. The role will further support the WWPS sales force through the sales compensation ticketing system.A successful individual will be results oriented and have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, write effectively, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group working relationships.Responsibilities include:Sales Compensation Plan set up for new hires and transfersQuota and territory assignment changesAssisting in leadership acceptance of sales compensation plans.Ensuring all sales compensation methodologies, policies, procedures and governance are followedCollaborating with internal stakeholders including HR, Business Operations, Sales and Sales Leadership, and other cross functional stakeholders to ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures are maintained in productionSupport of the WWPS quarterly and annual sales compensation payoutManagement of the WWPS sales compensation ticketing systemBasic Qualifications1+ years of experience in the areas of finance, sales compensation, or sales operations (understanding of sales compensation practices preferred)Advanced Excel skills and the ability to conduct analysis of complex data and translate the results into insightsExhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownershipBS/BA degree or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working within a high-growth, technology company would be beneficialHighly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.Familiarity with Public Sector and knowledge of government acquisitions along with applicable mandates and policies that govern the processMBA with concentration in Business or FinanceSelf-motivated, action-oriented, multi-tasking individual with a great sense of urgency and follow-throughStrong verbal and written communications skills as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization that can scale quicklyMeets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this roleMeets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexityBASIC QUALIFICATIONSAt least 5+ years of experience in the areas of finance, sales compensation, sales operations with in-depth understanding of sales compensation practices.

At least 5+ years of experience of Incentive compensation/performance management software knowledge and understanding.

At least 5+ years of Strong Excel experience and the ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into insights and action.

BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSales compensation domain expertise

Experience using BI tools

Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses to support and grow a business.

Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be beneficial

Self-motivated, action-oriented, multi-tasking individual with a great sense of urgency and follow-through

Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
