Salesforce Developer
Position Description CGI has an immediate need for a Salesforce Developer to join our Emerging Technology Practice team in one of our selected CGI locations. This role requires a strong foundation in Salesforce coding and web development experience. You will be required to customize, develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize Salesforce applications by working in close interaction with the Architect, Leads, business analysts, and other members of the development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting multiple user groups and customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our clients, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.Your future duties and responsibilities Responsible for developing and customizing Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, SQL• Automate processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, E-mail Alerts• Collaborate with team members and other departments in defining business requirements for optimal use of Salesforce functionality• Proactively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in Salesforce Applications• Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures• Train and coach teammatesRequired qualifications to be successful in this role 1 - 4 years of experience in Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce• Experience using tools like JIRA and Confluence for collaboration• Familiarity with Software development lifecycle (SDLC)• Strong analytical skills• Experience working in a matrix organization• Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentDesired skillset:• Familiarity with other low code development platforms• Experience with other programming languages (such as Java or .NET)Educational Requirements:• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field• Salesforce Developer Certification#LI-RT1#CGIFederalJob#DiceInsights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
