Job Description
Join a global professional services leader. We are committed to solving the world's biggest challenges in the areas of water, energy and urbanization. The Security Designer will be based out of our Chantilly, VA office and will be responsible for consulting on the design and engineering of security documents, including electronic security engineering drawings and Division-28 specifications, of Low Voltage Security Systems that includes; designing physical access control systems (PACS), Video Assessment and Surveilance Systems (VASS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), security riser diagrams, security single line diagrams, copper and fiber security systems, camera schedules, understand door hardware, design security wall fields, and security shop-drawings by a security integrators(contractors). - Consult on Security Control Room sizing, security HVAC environmental control equipment heating parameters, lighting, security systems cable specifications sizing and parameters.
- Consulting, Engineering and design of complex Electronic Security Systems and their respective infrastructure support systems.
- Client site surveys for documentation and preliminary cost estimating of your design and building conditions assessments, on-site assignments to document existing security risk conditions and collect security design requirements.
- Work close with the Security design team on Security systems, including preparation of contract documents, calculations and ROM cost estimating.
- Inspect work in progress and completed work during Security CA services.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Department Head.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
- 3+ years of relevant recent experience
- PSP certification complete or in process
- Experience in the design and planning of access control and video systems
- Adept and skilled at interacting directly with clients
- Some travel required, as deemed necessary by clients
- Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
- REVIT and AutoCAD experience
