6K Systems, Inc. is seeking a professional, experienced
Senior Accountant (minimum of 3 months with the possibility of going from temp to hire) to join our team! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Accountant will perform the following duties : - Maintenance of the General Ledger
- Financial Reporting
- Preparation of semi-monthly and monthly billings
- Prepare various Account Reconciliations
- Prepare and Process semi-monthly payroll.
- Prepare and Process Accounts Payable
- Maintenance of Fixed Assets Ledger
- Assist with internal and external reviews and reporting.
REQUIREMENTS - Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or business field required
- Minimum 7 years of overall accounting experience with at least 5 years working for a federal Government contractor is strongly desired.
- Knowledgeable of accounting for the following types of contracts: T&M, CPFF, and Firm-Fixed Price.
- Knowledgeable of accounting for Government contracts and has the ability to immediately handle the duties and responsibilities listed above with minimal training.
- Experience using Deltek s Costpoint Accounting Software.
- Strong Excel and Word skills.
- Ability to work in a Team environment
