Senior AccountantJob DescriptionThe Senior Accountant will work in the general ledger, assist with the preparation of financial statements, support the insurance company audit, and prepare ad hoc analysis as needed. They report to the CFO within the Finance department. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a logical approach to problem-solving, excellent analytical abilities, effective communication skills and great time-management abilities. The role provides the opportunity to learn and build accounting processes and procedures, grow in your knowledge and responsibilities, and work cross-functionally with colleagues around the business. Manage all payments received on agency bill and reconcile to company invoices. Work with internal teams to ensure that payments are received from clients in a timely fashion. Field questions from Sales Executives, Account Managers, and carriers, research their queries, and resolve disputes. Manage relationships with insurance carriers to facilitate a seamless payable process. Prepare and approve journal entries. Prepare or review account reconciliations; performed monthly. Identify and drive process improvements. Ad-hoc projects and miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.Skills
5+ years of Accounting experience with Bachelors
Preferred - Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance, but if no degree then must have 8+ years of Accounting experience
Month End, AP/AR. GL
