Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Senior Associate DevOps Engineer to be responsible for the technical operations of systems comprising our Partner's major product lines, within a world-class, highly secure environment supporting both the Life Sciences and Defense Industrial Base industries. Currently, this position is remote, but will turn into a hybrid work schedule as of January 2022. Selected candidate must be fully vaccinated. Responsibilities:

  • Critical focus on automation: build processes and technologies that automate the SLDC
  • Support CI/CD pipeline in client's Azure cloud
  • Extend/maintain client's containerization platform
  • Troubleshoot issues in Dev/QA/UAT/Production environments and ensure resolution with the development team
  • Manage code promotion build infrastructure for QA/UAT/Production environments
  • Maintain DevOps support Azure instances and compute
  • Support DevSecOps pipelines including automated functional testing (QA) and security scans
  • Build/maintain deployment models that minimize downtime (i.e., blue-green deployments)

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS or related field
  • 5 years of relevant technical experience
  • DevOps experience is essential for this role; experience with Azure DevOps Services (i.e., Azure Pipelines) is required
  • Expertise with container and container orchestration technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Expertise with CI/CD systems (i.e., Jenkins, Bamboo, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Cloud scripting experience (i.e., Azure ARM Templates, Terraform, etc.)
  • Linux and Windows administration and scripting skills (i.e., Bash, PowerShell)
  • Work Status: due to government requirement, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
  • COVID-19 vaccine: must provide proof of vaccination to go onsite
