FRM associates are engaged and insightful risk management partners working across the Finance organization to execute robust and proactive risk management programs, improve effectiveness and efficiency of operation while reducing risk and influencing risk stakeholders, i.e., 2nd line programs, other risk offices, compliance, internal audit, and regulators. FRM strives to enable a strong culture of risk management across Finance that drives efficiency and is adaptable to a changing environment.This position will support our Finance Product and Data Solutions (FPDS) organization with a heavy focus on risks that may be present with the growth and strategy of our Finance product teams and within the Finance data management framework. Risk considerations for this organization are varied, although generally related to governance or process oversight or aligned to data and technologies utilized to meet organizational goals. This role will also have opportunities to engage in other finance-related initiatives in support of our business partners or the FRM team. An ability to build strong connections that enable effective problem solving, influence, and communications to drive strategic initiatives within and beyond the Finance division will contribute to the candidate’s success.General Responsibilities:
Foster productive networks and relationships to provide excellent advisory services to FPDS stakeholders;
Perform risk assessments to ensure the FPDS organization is adhering to internal risk policies and standards, e.g. Enterprise Risk Management, Information and Data Management, or Technology Operations expectations;
Synthesize information from disparate sources in a manner that enables FRM to influence business, product, and tech leaders to make grounded, risk-based decisions - identify themes to support the risk story;
Report on the health of programs assigned, ensuring sufficient awareness and transparency to leadership;
Champion ideas related to process and/or controls automation and the consideration of relevant/emerging technologies as a means to mitigate risks;
Identify opportunities to collaborate within and beyond FRM to continually mature our risk office practices and governance;
Provide risk training and support to stakeholders as the risk subject matter expert within areas assigned;
Develop and maintain documentation to include procedures and presentation materials;
Assist with the preparation and execution of audit and regulatory exams as they pertain to responsible areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 2 years of experience in Finance
At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Operational Risk or combination
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience advising and/or validating the effectiveness of Operational Risks and Controls for Data Management OR Technology OR Business Process OR combination
Experience or education with cloud-based technologies
Experience or education with product or project management
Associate Professional Risk Manager (APRM), or Certified Data Management Professionals (CDMP) or Certified Project Manager (CPM) or Business Management Professional (BPM), or Six Sigma certification
Strong critical thinking skills and previous experience balancing changing priorities
Previous experience working effectively in a collaborative, unstructured environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience with Google Suite
