ECS is seeking a
Senior Bioscientist to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Job Description: ECS is seeking a Senior Bioscientist to provide technical advisement and program management support on research involving diagnostics and prognostics for disease, human performance, and physiological measurements. The candidate will serve as program lead and work directly with a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in all aspects of program conceptualization, development, and management. Strong candidates will have both technical and management experience in research and development (R&D) environments. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain an active DoD security clearance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Providing independent technical analysis, risk assessment, and risk mitigation of on-going performer progress on programs.
- Organizing and attending technical workshops, proposal reviews, progress reviews, and field tests.
- Surveying state-of-the-art technologies in support of new program developments.
- Conducting DoD mission impact and cost analysis.
- Identifying technology transition opportunities across commercial and defense sectors.
- Preparing reports and briefings to Government leadership.
- Master's in Biology, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.

- Single cell biology
- Genomics
- Medical devices
- Clinical laboratory assays
- Bioinformatics
- Molecular computation
- Machine Learning as applied to human subject research

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and a demonstrated self-starter
- Proven ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams
- Exceptional professionalism in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to explore scientific literature for emerging technology
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.
- PhD in Biology, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
- Program management experience.
- Human subjects research experience.
- Candidates with an active DoD security clearance are preferred.
