M9 Solutions is seeking a
Senior Cloud Engineer to work remotely on a government contract for a client located in Arlington, VA .Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. US Citizenship is required. Required Skills and Qualifications- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a background investigation for a Public Trust clearance.
- At least 10 years of experience in and deep knowledge of:
- Linux.
- Cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure.
- Configuration management experience through Ansible/Terraform/Chef/Puppet.
- Git, CI/CD and other development tools.
- Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Have experience with monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch / Elastic Stack (ELK), ECE, Splunk, CloudWatch, etc. in order to engage with project monitoring and incident response activities.
- Has a thorough understanding of data transit between APIs (data ingest, index frameworks), data normalization and cleansing concepts, and the networking and software implications.
- Experience with supporting containerized services in production.
- Experience leading project technical delivery efforts.
- Cloud architecture skills in one or more clouds.
- Experience administrating systems in the cloud through patches, permissions and service deployments.
- Experience monitoring and analyzing network performance to match on-demand requests.
- Experience defining and implementing policies for cloud-based systems.
- Establishing connections to and from various cloud network types and managing firewalls.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Be familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices in order to engage with leadership and government customers on project development.
- Able to work in a dynamic team environment, collaborate well with others, and take initiative to solve problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven success in supporting a broad array of cloud services.
- Experience delivering technical excellence in the federal space.
- Familiarity with managing the Atlassian suite of ALM tools.
- Strong understanding of DevOps processes, methodologies and philosophies.
- Experience with both AWS and Azure Cloud Environments.
- Experience with containerization and microservice architectures.
- Relevant professional level cloud, DevOps, or Elastic certifications.
- Able to create and deliver presentations and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to brief and engage directly with sponsors and their supporting staff regarding technical support work and architecture design of cloud environments.
