About the Opportunity

Our National IT Strategy and Planning group has an immediate opening for a Senior Cost Modeling Financial Analyst, reporting to reporting to the Senior Manager for Cost Modeling and Cloud FinOps.

As a Senior Cost Modeling Financial Analyst, you will research and analyze data and problems related to financial operations, cloud FinOps, and product management to determine best practices, identify solutions, and develop recommendations to improve current practices. You will provide guidance in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective financial processes and procedures, provide reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions, and participate in cross-functional teams to address financial or systems issues.

What You Will Do:
  • Perform complex analysis of major business issues and proactively search for and recommend sustainable solutions utilizing established methodology and tools within finance areas.
  • Work with clients and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify the high-level customer needs, and recommend business process improvements and sustainable solutions within finance areas.
  • Develop cost estimating relationships and design cost estimating methods and models, document assumptions, and provide insights to senior management on investment impacts.
  • Proactively review, compile, and analyze detailed and complex statistics and data. Provide guidance and collaboration in completing analysis, information, or process mapping, and/or alignment of the business and related areas. May evaluate root cause and effect into solutions. Lead process improvement and solution discussions and present outcomes to senior management within finance areas.
  • Develop and design critical new business processes update existing business processes.
  • Be a key participant in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects within finance areas.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.
  • A full understanding of industry practices and Technology Business Management (TBM) Framework.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or other visualization and data management tools.
  • Proficient with Agile methodology and scrum framework.
