Senior Data Scientist
Position Description CGI Federal Emerging Technologies Practice (ETP) seeks a highly-motivated data scientist to join our Data Analytics and AI Practice. We are a team of data scientists and engineers that collaborate with other business units within CGI Federal to leverage our data science skills and strategic ideas to improve client needs. As a data scientist, you will support various clients in building visualization in Tableau or PowerBI, developing machine learning methods in AWS or Azure, applying data mining techniques, building predictive analytics, and serving as a data analytics consulting expert.You will have the opportunity to build high quality analytic systems in one or more areas: machine learning, anomaly detection, natural language processing, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics. Develop your career in a meaningful way and be part of our hardworking and dedicated team playing an integral role in providing support for processes, procedures, standards and tools.Skills:• Big Data• Machine Learning• Python• SQL• AWS or AzureYour future duties and responsibilities Build machine learning and predictive models for building data-driven product solutions or performing methodological research.• Apply data and technical expertise in analysis, data mining and visualization of data using Business Intelligence tools and data development platforms.• Develop machine learning pipelines in AWS, in one or more of the following resources: DynamoDB, Lambda, Sagemaker, S3, EMR.• Develop production level dashboards to display trends, KPIs, and machine learning predictions.• Analyze complex datasets, detect trends and patterns, develop conclusions, and provide recommendations.• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and encouraging data-driven decision making across the organization.• Follow technology trends in data science and inform clients how this technology will benefit the future development platform.• Translate business needs and vision into roadmap, project deliverables & organization strategyRequired qualifications to be successful in this role BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management or related technical field.• Demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following data science areas: machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, predictive modeling and forecasting, recommender systems, or statistics.• Experience with common Data Science Libraries such as Pandas, Matplotlib, or scikit-learn.• Programming experience in Python and SQL.• Strong understanding of data science, machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.• Experience with data and analytics technologies in AWS or Azure (including but not limited to DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, IAM).• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.• Ability in managing complex projects involving diverse datasets.• Adept at picking up new tools and technologiesDesired Qualifications:• MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Management or related technical field• Secrete, TS, or TS/SCI clearance• Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timeline driven environment and potentially utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.• Experience with cloud providers - Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure• Strong technology communication and thought leadership skillAs a Federal Contractor, all members of CGI Federal, regardless of role or work location are required to be fully vaccinated effective January 18th 2022 under the current policy, and be willing to provide proof of status, with the exception of those with approved medical or religious accommodations".#LI-RT1#CGIFederalJob#DiceInsights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
