Senior Data Scientist

DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Agile team supporting our customer the United States Patent and Trademark Office.Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Business and IT teams to determine which data is available and useful for the project

Assist in the development of Agile Epics, Features, and User Stories related to data

Support Agile teams in Data usage

Collect, categorize, and analyze data

Extract usable data from data sources

Enhance data collection procedures

Process, cleanse, and validate the integrity of data used for analysis

Analyze information to find patterns and solutions to business challenges

Preprocess structured and unstructured data where required

Present analysis results in a clear manner Using machine Create, validate, test, and update algorithms and models

Make business recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis

Develop Project deliverables as required

Communicate regularly with customers, stakeholders, Agile teams, and management

This opportunity is contingent upon award.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:

BA/BS degree and 14 years or more of relevant experience.

Strong data analytics experience

Knowledge of data development tools such as Python

Experience with Statistical Analysis

Strength in Data Management and Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)

Strengths in SQL and NoSQL database tools

Database Management and administration experience

Experience with Cloud data management tools

Problem solving and communication skills

Systems Modernization experience

Knowledge of data encryption and security approaches

Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Strength in Machine Learning

Experience with big data and search

Target salary range: $175,001 - $185,000.
