Dev Ops Platform Engineer, SeniorThe Challenge:

Everyone is trying to "harness the power of the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a platform DevOps engineer, you know how to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your clients' needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud platform skills to improve the design, development, and deployment of the SIGINT mission platform? We need you to help us develop and manage container management sof tware to solve some of our clients toughest challenges.

On our team as a Platform DevOps Engineer, you'll use your experience to streamline our sof tware development life cycle from requirements to monitoring in production. You'll use the latest cloud te chn ologies as you look for ways to improve your clients' environments with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your te chn ical knowledge, you'll work directly with your clients to inform strategy and design, while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process with Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) , sof tware integration, and cloud architecture and Kubernetes.

You'll recommend tools such as Kubernetes to help your clients manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll broaden your skills in areas like Containerization and Microservices while developing critical cloud platforms for our client.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Micro sof t Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with supporting cloud applications or infrastructure
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale sof tware deployments, or monitoring and testing, including continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Experience with Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes
  • TS / SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience
  • Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
  • Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
  • Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
  • Experience with the OWASP Sof tware Assurance Maturity Model ( SAMM ) or DevSecOps Maturity Model ( DSOMM )
  • Cloud certification, including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Asso cia te Certification, Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, or MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS / SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
