HII Mission Technologies is looking for a Software Developer with expertise in building applications in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of mainstream programming languages and the ability to write code to build, deploy and manage applications. The applicant will become a member of the CounterMeasures team. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Essential Job Responsibilities

As a senior software engineer on our team, you will: Participate in the software engineering life cycle development process Develop design details and coding approaches for new software features Implement and debug functional enhancements and corrections to the product Work with subject matter experts to elaborate requirements and testing staff in their validation of them

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with a bachelor in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a master in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience. Proficient in writing and debugging software code for web applications in Java and Angular Familiar with creating and modifying tables and objects, and writing PL/SQL queries and statements in PostgreSQL Experience developing within IntelliJ IDEA/JetBrains Proficient in using Git repositories on AWS platforms Familiar with the deployment of applications on AWS platforms Ability to quickly research and learn new technologies as needed Ability to analyze requirements with attention to detail to arrive at a technically sound and maintainable design and source code implementation that meets functional, operational, and systemic needs Ability to collaborate with other engineers, testers, and subject matter experts Ability to proficiently document work completed, issues, or other items necessary for the team's awareness US Citizenship A DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Requirements

Additional qualifications that would be helpful: Familiar with DBeaver database client Ability to work with and understand input data created by subject matter experts used by the software Able to perform minor coding in HTML and CSS Languages: Java (preferred) or Python, C
