Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining tools and solutions associated with deployment and our DevOps platform.

  • Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during product build and testing.

  • Write test cases for infrastructure code.

  • Develop infrastructure code using test driven development (TDD) methods.

  • Update our processes and design new processes as needed to optimize performance.

  • Deploy product updates as required.

  • Automate our operational processes in compliance with our security requirements.

  • Establish DevOps Engineer team best practices.

  • Work with open-source technologies as needed.

  • Work with build management tools such as Jenkins

  • Work with source control such as GIT and SVN.

  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.

  • Support monitoring tools for infrastructure stability and cost analysis.

Qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, relevant field.

  • More than ten years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role).

  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration, Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, Perl, Python, Bash.

  • Strong Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, GOLang and C is a plus.

  • Strong Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana.

  • Strong Knowledge in open-source technologies and tools.

  • Experience with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

  • Experience with project management, workflow tools & concepts such as Jira, Agile, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe/etc.

  • Experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2 and S3.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes on platforms such as ECS and EKS.

  • Experience working with Terraform, Ansible and Chef for infrastructure automation & configuration.

  • Experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket, Artifactory

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol & processes with team and management.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.

  • Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.

  • Time and project management skills, with the capability to prioritize and multitask as needed.

  • Solid team player who can take the lead of individual initiatives.
