What You'll Be Doing:- Lead projects and provide technical advice for space and ground architecture modeling and simulation analysis using results to support recommendations for customer acquisition decisions
- Independently build analysis teams with the necessary skills, defining project objectives and tasks, tracking performance, and executing to project completion
- Lead and mentor junior analysts to effectively engage with customers and teammates on analysis techniques; data analytics and visualization; and general best practices
- Conduct analysis in support of architecture concept development, analysis-of-alternatives (AoA), source selection proposal assessment, trade studies, and future architecture performance projections
- Lead growth of the department's modeling and simulation analysis capabilities to support new functional areas for a diverse DoD and IC customer base
- Optimize and assess the performance of space and supporting ground and communications architectures by using existing or custom-developed analysis tools
- Act as a technical resource for sub-division and division level leadership
- Provide expert advice on customer space architectures, including related ground systems and supporting technologies, in these specific national security space functional areas: geo-spatial intelligence, signals intelligence, space surveillance, space protection, or communications infrastructure supporting intelligence capabilities
- Independently develop and strengthen relationships with program office and customer organizations
- BS Degree in aerospace engineering, operations research or related field of science or engineering required
- Demonstrated experience leading studies and analysis teams, coordinating complex technical tasks among team members, and translating customer needs into viable instructions for analysts required
- Substantial experience or background in one of the following areas: architecture performance analysis and modeling, optimization and/or decision support, communications systems analysis, electronics systems analysis, imagery systems analysis, software and/or simulation development required
- Familiarity with orbital mechanics, dynamics, and mathematics related to space system analysis required
- Demonstrated experience in modeling and simulation techniques
- Experience in the use and maintenance of PC or UNIX platforms, and associated software
- Holds oneself accountable for seeing tasks through to completion and through success/failure experiences learns to improve
- Current Top Secret/SSBI required
- Graduate Degree in aerospace engineering, operations research or related field of science or engineering
- Demonstrated experience in adapting modeling and simulation techniques into novel applications
- Direct experience with and understanding of Aerospace customers and business
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate policies, practices, and organizational structure
