Job Description

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEThe Senior Enterprise Monitoring and Automation Engineer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Understanding of the technical details of syslog, SNMP and REST API
  • Experience with Puppet Enterprise and Puppet Development Kit
  • Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Python, Linux and JSON
  • Experience with Git (Bitbucket, Gitlab) as configuration manager driver for rollbacks, deployments, CMDB, configuration governance.
  • Develop a CICD process to continuously upgrade and maintain applications in cloud using Blue/Green deployment processes.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud concepts.
  • Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components.
  • Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms.
  • Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions.

Skills
  • Product Development skills including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc.
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Collaborating with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Documentation and database reporting skills for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Crystal Reports, Excel, or SSRS
  • Expertise in service management concepts for networks and related standards such as ITIL practices or SDLC
  • Establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functionality, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information
  • Ability to transform business processes using BPA, RPA, or other technology-enabled automation
  • Programming experience including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages
  • Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc.
  • Improving and overseeing operations to strive towards operational excellence
  • Graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
  • Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
  • Risk Assessment and Management skills including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Cloud technologies and cloud computing skills
  • Influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Experience monitoring and managing operation systems (OS), and staying current on patches, upgrades, and other elements of the OS

  • Experience using APIs for developing or programming software
  • Skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms
