Meridian is seeking a Senior Implementation/Quality Specialist (SIQS) to join our team!

The Senior Implementation / Quality Specialist (SIQS) is part of the Professional Services organization responsible for delivery of the Meridian LMS software and solutions to the Meridian customer base. The SIQS is considered the expert on the Meridian product to support all aspects of the software implementation lifecycle including solution definition, requirements gathering and analysis, detailed design and recommendations for use to client, software configuration, testing, troubleshooting, end to end client business process review and recommendations. This position requires strong customer facing skills as well as some knowledge of web-based applications, or at minimum have the capacity to learn and understand front-end system features and logic in order to provide input, drive best practices both internally and externally and make recommendations on improvements internally as well as recommendations on usage to clients.

The position requires a consistently strong, deadline driven professional who can work independently and in dynamic project implementation team environments. Due to Meridian's diverse clientele base, exposure to various industries and government entities can be expected.

Essential responsibilities:
  • Acquire detailed product knowledge of all Meridian LMS software modules that will enable the individual to execute assigned project tasks for successful customer implementations
  • Work with customers to develop best approaches to use the MG software as a means to accomplish their business objectives
  • Work with customers to define configuration requirements and create supporting, detailed functional designs for customer use
  • Facilitate joint requirements design sessions and write detailed functional requirements documentation
  • Configure software and system interfaces to external customer applications to meet business requirements
  • Strategize and convert data from existing customer applications into Meridian Global
  • Strategize on best use of LMS to meet standard customer business practices
  • Demonstrates moderate experience in performing quality assurance and quality control of product and management processes
  • Moderate experience in quality control verification and validation, and product testing validation
  • Maintains the level of qu8ality throughout the project life cycle
  • Ensures quality assurance standards and best practices are applied during the testing process including internal testing and user acceptance testing
  • Assists with formal and informal quality reviews at predetermined points throughout the project life cycle
  • Troubleshoot application and implementation issues by taking ownership of questions, researching architectural or application issues and provide appropriate solutions
  • Perform Fit-Gap analysis for clients upgrading from previous versions and provide recommendations on simplifying solution
  • Provide product feedback (customer requirements, product shortcomings, enhancements, etc.) to product management and/or Development
Minimum Requirements:
  • Full life cycle application software implementation or development experience that includes large, complex package and/or customer software implementations
  • Experience with driving requirements sessions and documenting business needs and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise and professionally which can be translated into writing functional requirements reflecting a set of inputs, expected behaviors and outputs
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve using fixed software functionality for a variety of business use cases
  • Excellent customer facing skills are required to help manage and facilitate the development and delivery of our products
  • Strong oral presentation, written communication, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of success and follow through on commitments
  • Solid team player with a positive attitude
  • Availability for overnight travel (up to 15%; post-COVID)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a project management and delivery environment is a plus
  • Experience configuring applications using a variety of technologies including XML, database structure and queries, (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • LMS industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with the Human Capital Management Enterprise software space
  • Experience working with client business process owners is highly desirable
