Mindbank Consulting Group has multiple, immediate needs for Senior Java Developers. These positions are hybrid, with two days per week onsite currently. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Fort Collins, CO, Falls Church, VA , Madison, WI, or Hadley, MA.These positions are with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the only agency in the federal government whose primary responsibility is the conservation and management of fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the American people. This work supports IPaC, https://ipac.ecosphere.fws.gov/ The IPaC application is one of 18 applications that are a part of the FWS ECOS (On-prem servers) and ECOSPhere program (Cloud-based). IPaC was the first of these applications to complete a migration from on-prem servers (ECOS) to AWS (ECOSPhere) in January of 2022.Candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents. Candidates for this position will undergo a background investigation before starting work.I am unable to work with C2C/third party agencies.Developers will focus their expertise with the use of Java, Typescript or JavaScript, Spring, and React to design, create, and implement a broad range of applications and custom solutions, and to create additional features and improvements to the IPaC application which is now hosted in AWS. Candidates should be comfortable being a technical resource within a high-functioning, collaborative, cohesive group.Candidates for this position must have (minimally) eight years of conducting software engineering/development within/using an Agile lifecycle, SCRUM sprints, or other rapid development cycles in a web-based environment. Candidates must have six years of increasingly responsible experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing Java EE applications.These are the skills utilized currently within this group.
