– Telecommute with requirements to visit Reston Office as required with short notices Seeking a Senior Network and Cyber Security Engineer with at least seven years of experience in securing and hardening networks and applications as an individual contributor who understands all phases of the application and services release life cycle. The candidate will participate as a core member of DevSecOps teams by designing secure networks and performing security audits, risk analysis, and application-level vulnerability testing.

Required Skills:

Network Engineering

Experience with managing and configuring
Linux servers with an emphasis on networking.
Experience with using
scripting languages such as
Bash and
Python
Experience configuring
VPNs (e.g.,
OpenVPN, WireGuard, Cisco, etc)
Experience with
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) routing protocols
Experience with
Local Area Network (LAN) and
Data Center Network configurations
Experience with
VMWare, ESXi and VCenter
Exposure to SD-WAN is highly preferred
Experience in creating
Network Diagrams
Experience with
Firewall configuration

Cyber Security

Engineering

Experience with the
Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and artifacts
Experience with
Vulnerability Management Tools (Nessus, SteelCloud, OpenVAS)
Experience with
STIG hardening
Knowledgeable on Encryption Best Practices
Experienced with Linux and Windows security configurations and hardening
Experience with cybersecurity
penetration testing, including DAST and SAST

Desirable

Exposure to
Kubernetes

Experience with
white-hat hacking
