Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Analyst with Mission Technologies! The ideal candidate will be located close to a MT in either Northern Virginia or Huntsville Alabama with remote consideration and a flexible schedule. Primary responsibilities will include timely and accurate processing of payment and termination processing of bi-weekly wages using CostPoint Deltek. The Payroll Analyst must have the ability to work under pressure while relating across a diverse employee group in a customer service environment.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

• Process Company in-house payroll in a timely and accurate manner. • Perform complex payroll calculations, correct and balance payroll with a variety of reports. • Process state required payroll disbursements. • Manage garnishment/tax lien payments including maintaining files and submitting notices to ADP for processing. • Use Deltek for payroll entry multiple taxable entities for 7,000+ employees. • Candidate will provide expertise in fulfilling validated and reconciled audit requests, provide management with ad hoc payroll information, and provide analysis and reports as required to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. • Candidate will display an ability to analyze and perform monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger and other payroll centric reporting such as ADP reports. • The Payroll Analyst must have the ability to work under pressure while relating across a diverse employee group in a customer service environment.

Requirements: I have already done that or have it!

• 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field. • Self-motivated, team player. Process improvement mindset. • Knowledge of payroll tax laws • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and thrive in a high pressure environment • Working knowledge with ADP preferred • Deltek Costpoint experience preferred • Proficiency with Excel • Deadline driven • Audit bi-weekly payroll wages and taxes while providing accurate and timely paychecks to employees • Create and prepare reports for management as needed • Answer payroll inquiries from employees and research/resolve discrepancies • Ability to manually calculate employee withholdings • Familiarity with establishing state and unemployment withholding accounts • Experience with reconciling GL accounts and make adjusting journal entries • Experience with integrating acquisitions and data migrations. • Strong organization and documentation skills
