This is challenging multi-disciplinary work that knits together capabilities, ‘know-how’, and products from all Raytheon companies. Tasks require vary from project to project and can include developing and benchmarking of models of emerging red side threats, understanding how the US wants to counter these threats, how RTX products would be used in these scenarios, and developing integrated solutions that meet the customer need. You will lead teams that develop kill chain performance models, engagement, campaign CONOPS, multi-fidelity simulations, and mission planning systems. You will interact with US and International Customers from original requirement through operations.This position can be located in Tucson, AZ, Arlington, VA, or Woburn, MA.Responsibilities to Anticipate:

You will work in a team environment on diverse projects providing innovative approaches and solutions to create simulations and models for engagement, mission and campaign studies and analysis.

You will provide technical and schedule direction for development of analysis and simulation products, prepare detailed plans (including task objective, expected output, budget requirements and schedule for projects), and interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation products.

You will collaborate with Mission Experts to develop CONOPS, mission planning tools and effectiveness analysis.

You will collaborate with system and technology experts to develop platform, sensor, and weapon models for current and future concepts.

You will provide technical expertise for the iteration of simulation products as part of broader studies, demonstrations, proposals, and execution.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree

With the above degree, candidates need a minimum of ten (10) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in two or more of the following areas (an advanced degree can satisfy up to 3 years of work experience):

Experience using government-provided analysis tools, such as AFSIM, SUPPRESSOR, BRAWLER, STORM, etc.

Operations Research experience developing simulations of complex physical systems.

Experience in system and campaign modeling, simulation, and analysis.

Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MSBE) experience in evaluating the behavior and performance of existing or proposed engineering solutions.

Experience in Mission Planning processes and tools for air-delivered weapons, including LAR/WEZ, 6-DOF, JMPS, NOMS.

Experience in software development, configuration management, validation, and testing.

Experience in aircraft integration of weapons, including UAI, 1553, 1760.

Four (4) years of experience managing others in engineering and working with other engineering disciplines.

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:

Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree.

Experience managing others using applied system engineering and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines.

Experience using Software Configuration Management tools.

Experience in some of the following fields: USAF/USN mission planning processes, Military CONOPS, signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theory.

Experience with integration of complex system of systems

Experience developing and presenting technical briefings.

Experience working on a team and independently.

Experience in applying “Major Gates” cycles (Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, etc.)

Current TS/SCI clearance
