Job Role Senior Project Manager Cloud and Infrastructure Location: Remote 60%, 40% on-site in Alexandria, VA Duration: Long term Rate: Market Role Summary: Plans manages, and coordinates activities related to network and cloud technology initiatives; serves as a liaison between technology staff and assigned administrative organization representatives to resolve technology infrastructure issues, meets infrastructure requirements, and provides infrastructure solutions. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive work experience in information technology and technical project management 5+ years of which shall have been in a technology project oversight capacity. Experience with managing network, infrastructure and cloud-related projects and workstreams, specifically in the areas of data center migration to cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS on AWS) Experience in managing projects that involve network access control and wireless onboarding, network optimization Can demonstrate knowledge of business and information technology practices and trends in large enterprises Understanding of technology-related issues and how they might impact assigned customers Awareness of appropriate local, state, and federal laws and regulations dealing with technology Ability to implement technology solutions, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and to function as a team leader; Demonstrated use of agile project management methodologies and tools in a technology environment Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Certifications in Infrastructure Management such as Cisco, AWS required PMP Project Mgmt. Certification required Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or related field is preferred Duties and Responsibilities: Lead projects and manage teams in the delivery of cloud and IT infrastructure solutions with the goal of improving technical operations and business performance Develop high-level migration plans, budgets, and implementation strategies for cloud services, on-premise infrastructure, and networking capabilities Implementation and migration experience across any of the following: AWS/GCP Data Centers & Networks Network Access Control and Wireless Onboarding for BYOD Manage one or more projects focused on our data infrastructure Generate or review documentation of project requirements Determine the schedule, budget, and resource needs Ensure the work scope is well-defined Work with external vendors as needed
