Job Summary/Company:A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team and build cutting-edge solutions to meet customer requirements using the latest data feeds and geospatial analysis tools. This position is 100% remote. Candidate must sit in MD, DC, VA, WV, FL, MA, MO, NC, OH, OK, TN, or TX. - Automate traditionally manual analysis and workflows to ensure scalability of the company's products and solutions
- Participate in all phases of the project life cycle, from developing requirements to deployment and management
- Work with management and technical teams on product and platform strategies
Qualifications/Background Profile:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or another computational field
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or software architect (minimum of 2 years focused on data science or analytical computational field)
- Direct experience managing large datasets and computational or analytic jobs
- Experience with cloud development and deployments, specifically, using AWS
- Proficient in Python 3
- Understanding of scientific and data processing libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, OpenCV)
- Work Status: due to government requirement, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
