Job Summary/Company:Sparks Group has partnered with a government contractor to find a Senior Software Engineer. This is a direct hire role with a hybrid work schedule (2 days/week onsite). The Engineer will be part of a small program in support of the IT infrastructure including help desk, systems, network, and security services, and wear a lot of hats, such as coding, testing, remediation, deployment, etc. Responsibilities:- Front end development utilizing React.js
- Design/Build systems that are maintainable and highly test
- Identify/Solve complex issues in a timely manner
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC process, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
Qualifications/Background Profile:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience and training
- 5+ years of experience in object-oriented application design and development in a multi-tiered environment
- Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Extensive experience with Agile and SCRUM
- Experience creating custom reusable React components libraries
- Experience developing services in GO
- Experience designing/implementing effective RESTful/gRPC APIs
- Experience in Unit Testing frameworks (JEST or similar)
- Experience in Version Control (e.g., GIT)
- Experience writing business logic, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL knowledge
- Azure, AWS, or GCP experience (prefer Azure as that is what they're using, candidate is willing to learn Azure)
- Work Status: due to government requirements, only US Citizens will be considered for this role
- Clearance Type: must be Clearable
