Senior Software Engineer, DevOps (Remote -Eligible)

At Capital One, security is our top priority and we are looking for a unique combination of an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect and a Software Developer preferably with Python expertise. We are working as AWS Infrastructure Developers to support Capital One Card Tech Data Scientists, to boost Capital One's goal to reimagine banking. What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community
  • Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and Go, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS or 1+ year experience with Associate + Level Certificate
  • 2+ years of experience coding and scripting with Python
  • 2+ years of experience with Container Services
  • Proven experience of working with CI/CD systems.
  • 1+ years of experience with microservices
  • 1+ years of experience with network architecture and troubleshooting firewall issues
  • 2+ years of experience working with Agile Methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience with Terraform
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Python Django framework
  • Experience with Distributed Computing Systems, preferably EMR
