Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and document comprehensive test plans for all required testing.
    • Coordinate and participate in system testing and or DVT (design verification testing) activities including test planning, execution, and reporting.
    • Perform setup of test scenarios, both hardware and software components, and perform troubleshooting as needed.
    • Evaluate and recommend third-party test tools and other software/hardware products to aid in the testing effort.
    • Attend and participate in design level meetings in order to address testing issues early in the hardware/software development process.
    • Create testing tools and scripts as needed to support DVT level testing activities.
    • Provide training and support as required to system test staff.
    • Mentor junior staff.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:Over 7 years of industry experience in test engineering.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Experience with Linux.
    • Familiarity with IP Networking protocols and standards.
    • Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive DVT/system level test plans.
    • Experience writing Linux shell scripts.
    • Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, sockets, etc. and experience in network performance testing.
    • Experience with layer one throughput performance test tools such as Spirent.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Experience with frequency planning, link analysis, P1dB and IP3 are desired.
    • Test equipment experience including spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, etc.
