Description:
  • What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? If remote possibility, indicate schedule. My team is hybrid. We are onsite every other week. The candidate can sit in Richmond, VA, Cayce, SC or Salt Lake City, Utah. We have some flexibility for the right candidate outside of these areas.

  • Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):
Works independently depending on the level of experience on the most complex projects, at the highest technical level, of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Formulates or defines system scope and objectives, based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Works with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.Senior and Specialist level guides and advises less experienced Systems Analysts. Monitored on projects' progress and results. Errors may cause delay, expense, and disruption.

  • What are the top (at least 3 if possible) “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
  • Enterprise Esri Server Management (installations, configuration, and server administration)
  • Knowledge/understanding of other enterprise technologies (storage, networking, security, RDBMS/ArcSDE (geodatabases))
  • ArcSDE skills (manage, performance tune and set up of geodatabases)
  • System-level troubleshooting (monitoring, optimization, troubleshooting web and desktop GIS solutions)
    • What are the top “nice to have” skill sets? Gas and Electric Utilities IT GIS experience , GIS/Esri experience
    • What soft skill requirements do you have (team fit and personality requirements)? Team player, good communication skills (written and verbal), good time management skills, stress management
    • What education and certifications/licensures are required? No licenses required. However, candidate should have IT GIS experience
