Senior Systems Analyst / GIS System Analyst

• What is the preferred candidate location (local, non-local, remote?) and is there flexibility? If remote possibility, indicate schedule. My team is hybrid. We are onsite every other week. The candidate can sit in Richmond, VA, Cayce, SC or Salt Lake City, Utah. We have some flexibility for the right candidate outside of these areas.
• If on-site, which location will contractor report to? Richmond – TFF building at 600 Cary Street; Cayce, SC – headquarters building C; Salt Lake City - tbd
• What schedule is the candidate required to work? 8 to 5
• At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? There is the opportunity for overtime with new software implementations, server patching or support of production interruptions.

• Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):

• Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and mastery (advanced knowledge, skill and/or abilities that provides subject matter authority and superior command in a particular job) of the subject matter
• May provide input in setting objectives and policy, identifying critical issues and introducing new concepts
• Makes decisions independently
• Provides assistance, advice, and solutions to peers, customers, and co-workers
• Identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes
• Conducts system design and business information flow studies
• Develops technical specifications, system use cases, and wireframes. Conducts unit, system, and integration testing
• Support of applications and infrastructure in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Responsible for working in multi-platform server environments on multi-project assignments.
• Maintains and manages defects list, remediation, and testing

• What are the top “nice to have” skill sets? Gas and Electric Utilities IT GIS experience , GIS/Esri experience

• What education and certifications/licensures are required? No licenses required. However, candidate should have IT GIS experience
• Are there any specific companies/industries or ideal background you’d like to see in the candidate’s experience? IT GIS Electric and Gas Utility experience
