RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor, 5G Standardization in McLean, VA.

Essential Functions: Senior Technical Advisor will champion 3GPP standardization and develop technical specifications that meet the commercial needs of the company's applications & services through collaborative effort and consensus-based process Prepare 3GPP meeting contribution documents related to NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) and ensure GEO and NGSO services are integrated with terrestrial to achieve end-to-end ecosystems services Analyze and advise on the contributions submitted by other delegates into RAN WGs Prepare 3GPP meeting reports and de-brief management Develops and provides 5G system features, functions, and requirements to system engineers to perform systems studies around Radio Resource Management and the Radio Physical Layer for radio functions including end-to-end systems & hybrid services of GEO, NGSO and terrestrial connectivity As a Senior Technical Advisor, you will liaise with 3GPP members to acquire support and approval of the company's contributions Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, determine priorities, and facilitate decisions Work closely with business units to support the deployment of new LTE & 5G products and features Engage with the 3GPP ecosystem members to build broad consensus across the ecosystem and influence and drive direction Garner the industry support needed to initiate new features into 3GPP Working Groups

REQUIREMENTS: An Advanced degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the stated requirement) Minimum of 12-years of experience in the generation of wireless technologies and standardization Strong knowledge of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management A solid knowledge of the 3GPP features up to Rel-16, and NR and LTE radio access layers Candidate should be action oriented, with strong interpersonal skills that enable the influencing of others towards solutions and agreement Demonstrated analytical mindset, who can multi-task and project manage accordingly for high-capacity results despite competing priorities and/or deadlines Effective English language communication skills, both verbal and written; Strong presentation skills that appropriately inform/communicate key messages
