- 05 – 08 years of experience administering a server and/or virtual desktop environment.
- SME VMware Horizon View administration/management- Horizon
- Concepts with VDI profile services such as VMware DEM, AppVolumes, Flex cast
- Concepts of Directory Services and multi-site/domain configurations
- Capacity tracking/planning and resource allocation
- Extensive VMware Virtualization Experience - install, configure, and manage VMware environment, including Virtual Datacenters, Host Clusters, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), Storage DRS, and other functions managed by vCenter.
- Knowledge and working experience of vRealize Operations.
- Experience troubleshooting virtual storage connectivity and performance issues.
- Support incoming VMware VDI infrastructure from a Tier 3 perspective.
- Updating and patching Windows Gold/Master/SHB image.
- Enhancing and fine-tuning performance on VDI desktop.
- Securing VDI desktop policies in Active Directory and DEM (Device Endpoint Manager).
- File share and Redirection policies through GPO
- MFA authentication Knowledge such as OKTA Verify, DUO authentication
- Recognized subject matter expert in job area typically through advanced education and work experience. Establishes operational plans. Manages large projects which will have medium to large impact on the company.
