About the Opportunity

National IT has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President - IT DC & Cloud Modernization Program Executive reporting to the System IT CIO, this new SVP role is responsible for managing the portfolio of business-driven information technology programs aligned to our Business and Data Center Modernization, Cloud Technology, and Core Infrastructure strategies. This role will coordinate large infrastructure modernization, tracking and reporting in support of several Product Office and Reserve Bank business needs and requirements. The SVP will manage the portfolio of information technology programs that address the technology modernization strategies, objectives, and requirements of each Federal Reserve business line. As a key part of the National IT leadership team, they will provide broad perspective and thought leadership to develop and implement key strategies and critical business priorities at the System level.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the IT DC & Cloud Modernization Program team providing dedicated support to transition the Federal Reserve to modern next-gen Cloud Platforms & Modern Infrastructure
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders (CIOs, Reserve Bank presidents and other business and technology stakeholders) as well as objectives and key results
  • Anticipate changes in the business environment and collaborates across the System to ensure alignment between business priorities and strategic direction
  • Serve as the face of National IT for business and manage overall business relationships
  • Synchronize the vision with Product Line Managers/Product Owners on the squads; lead the formulation of the IT Modernization Portfolio and Squad mission and goals
  • Define and enforce quality standards (non-functional requirements)
  • Identify and communicate acceptance criteria for functional requirements
  • Design, deliver and implement IT Modernization Portfolio roadmaps, while maintaining key timelines
  • Lead recurring a variety of governance alignment sessions at all level of leadership (executive to technical)
  • Shape and manage the IT Modernization Portfolio backlog: prioritizing workstreams and epics for the Group
  • Create an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the IT Modernization Portfolio and motivate squads to fulfill tasks
  • Build/lead a team of engineering and planning professionals to coordinate

Qualifications
  • Proven leader with working knowledge of, and experience with Product Management and Agile Methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team through changing work requirements and priorities, demanding deadlines, operational crisis situations, as well as being able to keep pace with multiple concurrent initiatives and develop and implement long term goals and operating plans
  • Ability to effectively navigate and achieve results on initiatives that have both a cross-functional and cross-district impact
  • Learning mindset geared toward innovation and creativity for applying technology capabilities in new ways, necessary for both the delivery of effective technology and business solutions
  • Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of executive leadership experience in a demanding environment, including experience in setting the strategic direction, being accountable for and delivering strategic objectives, aligning programs with the organization's strategic direction, and focusing on continuous improvement efforts within a complex IT organization
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Masters, MBA or an advanced degree, preferred
  • Strong inspirational leadership and motivational skills with the ability to effectively manage high performing staff and management teams
  • Strong communication skills, including outstanding presentation and persuasion capabilities, including the ability to effectively convey complex, sensitive issues and communicate to a variety of audiences including technical staff, peers, as well as senior management, and oversight bodies
  • Expertise in relationship management and an exemplary ability to manage stakeholder expectations through clear and transparent communications
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with the appropriate level of judgment, discretion, and maturity
  • Demonstrates mutual respect, embraces diversity, and acts with authenticity
