CACI is currently looking for a SNOW Portfolio Architect with agile methodology experience to join our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client located in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

CBP agents and officers are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

What you'll get to do:
  • Serves as Portfolio Architect providing high-level architectural and software engineering expertise to managers and technical staff.
  • Primary contact for working with Vendors and providing direction to the ServiceNow Administrators and Developers
  • Develop and manage the application roadmap for enhancements and development
  • Working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols and email
  • Provides detailed technical architecture analysis, design and direction on development activities
  • Implements technology architecture guidelines for technology infrastructure and application development
  • Set standards for the ServiceNow instance governance related to best practices for defining configurations vs customizations, update set migration, cloning of environments, management of groups/users and data management
  • Builds business case for other teams in the organization to utilize the platform for additional features outside the IT Service Management processes
  • Analyzes the current business and technology environments to detect deficiencies and recommends ServiceNow solutions for the improved uses of information technology
  • Partners with applications and technology teams. Participates in team meetings, provides guidance, identifies architectural gaps and/or issues and helps guide the team(s) toward resolutions
  • Reviews all changes to the platform at a design level initially and then at the code level as part of the Change control process to ensure standards have been followed for development and any adverse impact for production move is avoided
  • Leads all technical aspects of project and solution delivery including:
    • Solutions Architecture, with specific emphasis on leading efforts involving Process, Solution Design, and Integration.
    • Lead customer discovery workshops.
    • Provide Technical Leadership and assurance of best practices.
    • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
    • Design, Build, and Deploy required enhancements to the ServiceNow Platform.
    • Implementation of ServiceNow for ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Orchestration, PPM, and other modules.
    • Provide support for workflow design and configuration efforts.
    • Lead UNIT testing efforts and oversee project UAT.
    • Development of required client specific reporting and dashboards.
    • Configure required integration components (SSO, LDAP, Mid Servers, etc.)
You have:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria will include but not limited to:
  • 3-year check for felony convictions
  • 1-year check for illegal drug use
  • 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • 5-10 years of IT and IT Management experience related to the role
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • Strong software development background with least five (5) years of IT experience related to the role
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience in incremental software development projects such as the Agile Scrum approach
You are good at:
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert partnering with other directorates and teams to drive the development and execution of the ServiceNow project activities, working with the project team to define, sequence and estimate duration of project activities and duration of schedule to meet project objectives
  • Manages the identification, resolution and escalation of ServiceNow related issues and risks.
  • Serves as a key member of the overall implementation project team.
  • Prepares client facing and internal deliverables that are technology related.
  • Drives the continuous improvement of our implementation methodologies and service offerings based on client experiences.
  • Establish yourself as a technical expert with varying industry knowledge
  • Expertise with multi-tiered application architectures, including Oracle RDBMS, and legacy systems modernization
  • Experience in systems development, systems integration, application design and/or legacy
  • Experience in .NET, Java, Web Services, Microservices & client/server architecture
  • Experience in the agile management framework
  • Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
  • Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong written and verbal communication skills and work ethic; self-starter
Bonus would be having:
  • Experience in Continuous integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) as well as SecDevOps processes and tools
  • Experience with implementing or migrating to a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) environment
  • Previous experience as an Enterprise-level architect
  • Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
  • Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting creativity, and resourcefulness

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $101,800-$218,800. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
