With employee health and safety as our top priority, and as a federal contractor, Lockheed Martin is taking action to address the increased risk and uncertainty COVID variants pose in the workplace and ensuring we meet our commitments to national security.As directed by Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, all current and newly hired employees, in the United States, are required to be fully vaccinated by January 18, 2022.Description: Space Systems is looking to grow our product quality group with candidates who have a passion for imaging science, math and physics.This Candidate would be responsible for the design/implementation/testing of new algorithm capabilities in support of signal/image processing, and would be able to develop scripts/code in Matlab and/or Python to prototype and evaluate capabilities.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Basic Qualifications: BS in EE, Physics or Imaging Science Strong background in mathematics and physics Experience in Modeling and Performance assessment of remote sensing systems Experience in designing and evaluating algorithms in Matlab/Python Solid understanding of remote sensing phenomenology Experience in research, and development. Excels working in a collaborative team environment Strong verbal and written communication skillsDesired Skills: MS in EE or Imaging Science Experience in evaluating Electro-Optical Remote Sensing Systems Ability to follow disciplined coding standards and practices Experience in enhanced image processing techniques (for example artifact detection and mitigation) Radiometric calibration of remote sensing systems Experience with 2D and 3D registration algorithms for image products Experience in multiple remote sensing phenomenologies (for example EO/IR/SAR)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
