Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is searching for Software Engineers to support the Army's Identity Intelligence mission. The software engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of a high performing, secure and critical mission supporting system.Potential for Travel: candidates should be willing to travel to Charlottesville, VA or Aberdeen MD upon request. Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Prepare and produce software component releases
- Support continuous improvement of code design and development processes
- Support design reviews
- Support Agile planning activities
- Support requirements analysis and traceability
- DoD Secret Clearance(TS/SCI preferred)
- At least 8 years' experience supporting large scale and complex systems in a distributed environment using various programming languages (including Java) and virtualized platforms
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- At least three years' experience in Java development
- Some familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD) pipeline concepts and tools
- Some familiarity with Cloud technology (e.g., AWS, Google)
- Some familiarity with Docker Containers
- Ability to support and troubleshoot issues on common Operating Systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, yum/brew)
- Great interpersonal and communications skills, while establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English
- DoD 8570.01 IAT or IAM Level II certification
- Experience in working with cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with the concept, implementation, and operations associated with DevOps in a hybrid IT organization.
- Experience developing in and deploying to a Linux environment
- Experience with Government standards and procedures.
- Experience migrating legacy applications to modern frameworks
- Experience with Elastic Map Reduce, Solr, Accumulo & Groovy
- Familiarity with Accumulo, Hadoop, HDFS, Solr
